Barriers

For the comfort of our guests, the barriers at the entrance and exit are locked between 24:00 and 07:00. Barrier key cards do not work during these hours. If you arrive after 24:00, there is a night parking area next to the reception (see map). Parking permits can be obtained from the reception before you leave for the evening or, in an emergency, from the night warden.

Beaches

The gravel track to the left of the reception leads to the family-friendly Askimsbadet beach, which has large lawns and sandy beach. Or you can follow the road through the campsite to the Marholmen peninsula, where there is a small beach, bathing rocks and jetties.

Care room 

A dedicated child care room is situated in the pink service building. It features showers, WCs and baby changing facilities in fun settings that children will love. In the red service building, there is a toilet with shower and baby-changing facilities in both the ladies' and men’s areas.

Disabled toilets

Located in the pink service building.

Dogs

Are welcome, but must be kept on a leash and exercised outside the area.

Emergency telephone

When the reception is closed, a member of staff can always be contacted in emergencies on the phone number +46 (0)20-55 45 10.

Internet

The whole area is covered by a free wireless network.

Laundrette

Situated in the reception block. Book laundry sessions at reception.

Mini golf 

There is a mini golf course by the red service building. The mini golf course is open daily, and clubs and balls can be hired from the reception.

Minimarket

A well-stocked minimarket is situated at the reception. It sells fresh bread, food, camping equipment, toys etc. Open: 24/6-14/8 between 08:00 and 22:00.

Night-time peace and quiet 

Please note that we expect the area to be silent between 24:00 and 07:00. The barrier will be locked at 24:00.

Parking 

Free parking is available next to your accommodation.

Playground

A playground for 0-3 year-olds is situated near the cottage apartments, while a playground for 3-12 year-olds can be found at the pink service building.

Private Shower and WC

You can rent your own shower and WC. You can use this facility throughout your stay, and leave your own toiletries in there. It will be cleaned once a day by our staff.

Restaurant

Askimterrassen, a cosy summer restaurant overlooking the sea, is within walking distance (500 metres) of the site. It serves lunch and dinner, and also offers take-away meals. Fully licensed.

Sauna

Situated in the red service building. Separate saunas for ladies and men.

Service buildings

For your convenience, Lisebergs Camping Askim Strand has two service buildings. The pink building is open throughout the season, while the red building is open from 20 June-9 August. Full use of these buildings is included in the price of a night's stay. The service buildings offer the following: ladies' and men’s showers and WCs, disabled WC and shower, cooker, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, vegetable preparation area and a covered dining area. Our youngest guests have their own care area with baby changing facilities, children's WC and shower.

Site rules

We enforce the site rules adopted by the National Swedish Campsite Association. The rules are posted in the reception and service building. The site staff, out-of-hours warden and police have the right to ask any guest who does not observe these rules to leave the campsite.

Shopping

Nordstan, the largest shopping centre in the Nordic region, has everything you could possibly want and more besides.
Frölunda Torg, Kungsgatan and Avenyn are also unmissable shopping districts.

Taxi

Travel by taxi from Askim Strand to Liseberg or Avenyn at a fixed price for 1-4 passengers. Taxi tickets are available from the shop or reception. Call Taxi Göteborg, phone +46 (0)31 650 000.

Tourist information

The GöteborgsPasset card is an easy way to get around the city. It gives you free access to the whole city and unlimited entertainment. Free admission to Liseberg Amusement Park, the Universum centre and the city's museums, unlimited travel on trams, buses and ferries, free parking and much more.

The Passet card is also entitles the holder to discounts in many shops and restaurants. GöteborgsPasset cards at a discount rate are available from the reception at Lisebergsbyn Kärralund. 24- and 48-hour cards are available for adults and children.
