Nestor was formed in 1989 in Falköping, where they quickly established themselves as a popular name locally. Nestor’s music is characterised by brilliant guitar riffs, uplifting melodies, and not least, their clear influences from ’80s rock. The band broke up in the mid-90s but reunited in 2020. This proved to be the right decision, as it became their big breakthrough. From being a local Falköping favourite, Nestor is now a name to be reckoned with not only across Sweden but also on the international stage.

“Nestor’s success is inspiring, and everything indicates that their journey has only just begun. With Velveteen Queen as the support act, this will be a fantastic rock evening to look forward to,” says Johan Gummesson, artist booker at Liseberg.

With the release of their new album Kids in a Ghost Town (2021), Nestor quickly made a name for themselves in the rock world and are today one of Sweden’s strongest contributors to the genre. Most recently, in 2024, they released the album Teenage Rebel, which has been widely received by fans.

With a history spanning over three decades and newfound popularity, their upcoming concert promises to be an unforgettable experience for all rock lovers. On September 6, they are set to perform on Stora Scenen.

Velveteen Queen has had an explosive career since their debut in 2022 and has already appeared on most of the major rock stages and festivals across the country. Sharing the stage with Nestor is nothing new—the two bands have toured together many times before—and they are just as excited to meet the audience at Liseberg’s Stora Scenen on September 6.

Concert tickets for this summer’s performances on Stora Scenen cost SEK 75 each and can be booked at liseberg.se. In addition to the concert ticket, you will also need an admission ticket to Liseberg Park.

At festivals, clubs – and everywhere. Dare to Care is primarily about creating a social culture that advocates communication, mutuality and consent in sexual relationships. In practice this involves working to establish norms and values and provide practical safety measures together with organisers, as well as talking to audiences at venues.

We have joined this alliance, and together with other members of Greentopia we will actively work to reduce the climate impact of our own events and strive to encourage visitors and other stakeholders to contribute to the goal of making cities climate-neutral by 2030. Our focus is on food and drink, transport and textiles.
