Information for those who want to ride Helix
Helix is one of the attractions at Liseberg that exposes the body to the greatest stresses. Therefore, the attraction has some of the strictest safety rules for what is required to be able to ride.
In addition to the height limit of 130 cm and the age of 7 years that must be reached, you must meet the following requirements to be able to ride Helix:
- Have two legs down to the ankle
- Be able to hold on with at least one hand
- Have sufficient upper body strength to keep shoulders and head against the back and headrest throughout the entire ride
- Have sufficient leg strength to withstand the forces on the track
- Remove any prosthetics before the ride
Unfortunately, you are not allowed to ride Helix if you:
Helix also has a type of restraint that imposes restrictions on the passengers' dimensions. The two rear seats in each train set are designed for tall guests, known as "big boys seats," but even these seats have their limitations.
Outside the attraction entrance, there is a test seat with a restraint where a light indicates whether you will be able to sit securely during the ride. If the light is green, you can choose any seat; if the light is yellow, you can ride Helix if you choose one of the rear seats in the train. If the light is red, unfortunately, you will not be able to be securely strapped in the attraction and must therefore refrain from the ride.
Entrance: Inside the virtual queue entrance, there is an elevator to the station level. Contact staff via the intercom located near the elevator. Only one group from the elevator per ride.
If you have priority access and can use stairs, please enter through the virtual queue entrance.
