Accessibility at Liseberg Park

A place for everyone

Everyone is welcome at Liseberg – no matter who you are or what needs you may have. We want your visit to be as easy, fun, and memorable as possible.

Tips!

For a calmer visit during the summer

If you would like to experience a calmer Liseberg, when queues are usually shorter, we recommend visiting during the following periods:

  • April to May.
  • Mid-August through 20 September.

For a calmer visit regardless of the season

Weekends are always popular. If you visit Liseberg during a weekend, we recommend choosing a Sunday. There are usually fewer guests than on Saturdays.

The park environment

Liseberg is a park with many sensory impressions. At times, it can be noisy, and there are several steep hills and stone-paved walkways. The park also changes for each new season, so new features are added every year.

Bright lights, loud sounds, and crowds are common in Liseberg Park.

If you use a wheelchair, there are two ways to reach the upper part of the park, and both are quite steep:

1. The route that starts at Lisebergsteatern, by the North Entrance, and continues up the hill.
2. The walkway to Luna Park, which begins by FlumeRide and the escalator.

In both cases, it is recommended that someone assist you. If you are unable to get help, you can speak to the gate host at the North Entrance. Our hosts and security staff are happy to help if they are able to.

Rides and attractions

Liseberg’s rides have different safety regulations.

A lap bar, seat belt, or other safety equipment helps keep you secure during the ride. That is why there are rules regarding, for example, height, body size, and various disabilities.

There is always staff at the rides who can assist you. If it is difficult to assess, the staff will decide whether or not you can ride. Unfortunately, not everyone can ride everything, but everyone can ride something.

You can always get help at Guest Services. There, you can find out which rides are suitable for you. Guest Services is located at both of Liseberg’s entrances.

More information is available on each attraction’s page, under the heading “Handy to Know” and the tab “Accessibility”.

  • The Liseberg Garden

Lugn-plats-Blå-gången.jpgIn the leafy area between Blå gången and Kaninlandet, there are benches where you can rest for a while.

Lugn-plats-AtmosFear.jpgOn the plateau next to AtmosFear, there are plenty of benches and tables for relaxing and having a snack. From here, you also get a lovely view of Liseberg Park.

Lisebergs lustgard 2010.jpgThe Liseberg Garden is a 15,000 m² park and garden area located between the North Entrance and Korsvägen.

Please note that the area includes hills and natural paths, which makes it difficult to get around independently in a wheelchair.

It is not possible to reach Liseberg Wheel and continue up the hill by wheelchair from The Liseberg Garden.
