About Camping Askim Strand

Welcome to Liseberg’s camping Askim Strand, a favourite of families with kids. The campsite is beautifully situated by the sea just outside Gothenburg.

Our campsites

At Liseberg’s camping Askim Strand you can choose to stay in a caravan, motorhome or tent. Stay the whole summer on one of our seasonal pitches.

Pitches for caravans and motorhomes

At Liseberg’s camping Askim Strand there are 259 pitches for caravans and motorhomes. All the pitches have access to electricity (European socket; you can buy adapters from reception). Our caravan pitches are booked up quickly, as many of our guests come back year after year, so we recommend that you book early.

Tent pitches

If you choose to bring your own tent there are around 150 pitches at Liseberg’s camping Askim Strand. If you need electricity we have 14 suitable tent pitches. Our electric pitches for tents can be pre-booked online or by phone. Our other tent pitches cannot be pre-booked; you simply turn up and check in if space is available.

Discover Askim Strand

The gravel path to the left of reception leads to the family-friendly Askimsbadet beach. The beautiful sandy beach has shallow water and a 259-metre-long bathing pier. You can also follow the road through the camping area to the Marholmen peninsula. You can swim from the rocks or jetties here, or from the small beach.

Swim in the sea

Choose between a child-friendly beach with shallow water or the fabulous rocky shoreline. Or try both!
Playground

Let yourself go at the campsite’s own playground!
Service building

Our two service buildings offer just about everything you may need, from communal rooms with kitchen and TV, to sauna and playroom.
Adventure golf

Play a round or two on the exciting and challenging adventure golf course!

Check-in & Check-out

Check-in is from 1.00 PM for caravans, motorhomes, and tents. For rooms/cabins, check-in is from 3.00 PM. If you arrive after the reception is closed, please notify the reception by calling +46 031-400 100.

Check-out is no later than 11.00 AM on the day of departure. Any extension or late check-out is subject to availability.

Facilities

Service Buildings:
At Lisebergs Camping Askim Strand, there are two service buildings for your convenience. These include a common room with TV, kitchen with a dishwasher, stove/oven, showers, toilets, changing rooms, and rental toilets. All amenities, including hot water, are included in the overnight price.

Laundry Room:
Washing machines and dryers are available for rent. Time slots can be booked based on availability and payment is made at the reception.

Sauna:
A sauna with a shower is available for rent. Time slots can be booked based on availability and payment is made at the reception.

Services on the premises

Parking:
Free visitor parking is available outside the barriers, subject to availability. There is an option for electric vehicle charging in the visitor parking area, at an additional cost.

Entrance and Ride Passes for Liseberg:
You have the option to purchase and collect pre-booked ride passes at our ride pass kiosk located at the reception. Entrance is best booked through liseberg.se.

Convenience Store:
A small convenience store is available at the reception. The nearest grocery store is approximately ten minutes away by car.

Wi-Fi:
The area is covered by a wireless network. During the summer, there may be limited capacity due to the high number of guests. Wi-Fi is included in the price.

For Children/Family

Swimming in the Sea:
Within walking distance, you will find both Marholmen's beach and the family-friendly Askimsbadet.

Playground:
Askim Strand offers a delightful playground for children.

Mini Golf:
There is an adventure golf course on the premises. You can rent clubs and balls at the reception.

Boule:
A boules court and boules sets are available for rent at the reception.

Kayak & SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboard):
Kayaks and SUPs are available for rent on the premises. Feel free to ask at the reception for tips!

Payment
Liseberg Askim Strand is a cash-free facility. We accept the most common debit/credit cards.

Liseberg Camping Askim Strand has been actively working on environmental issues for many years to reduce the negative environmental impact of its operations. We are also certified with ISO 20121. You can learn more about how Liseberg addresses environmental and sustainability issues here.

Pets
Your pet is welcome to join you on vacation at Lisebergs Camping Askim Strand. A pet fee is applicable if you are staying in the hostel.

Age Limit
Askim Strand is a family campsite, and you need to be at least 18 years old to stay with us without an accompanying adult.
