The acclaimed northern duo Hooja returns to Liseberg and steps onto Stora Scenen on 4 September. With their explosive “forest disco” sound and one of Sweden’s most dedicated fanbases, one of the summer’s most high‑energy evenings in the park awaits.
Handy to know
Hooja
Hooja was founded in 2021 and made a major breakthrough the following year with viral hits such as Donkey Kong and Banan, melon, kiwi & citron. In just a few years, they have established themselves as one of the country’s most beloved live acts, known for their humorous northern style and characteristic masks. Their songs are streamed at record speed and, in total, Hooja now has over 500 million streams on Spotify.
- We know that many of our guests have been longing to see Hooja with us again. Already now we can safely say that we’ll be seeing a stage area boiling with energy this summer – this will be an evening to remember, says Johan Gummesson, artist booker at Liseberg.
Their success has also been celebrated across the music industry. Hooja have won several prestigious awards, including Artist of the Year at P3 Guld 2023 as well as four Rockbjörnen awards the same year – Group of the Year, Breakthrough of the Year, Fans of the Year and Song of the Year. The duo have also received Grammis nominations in the categories Newcomer of the Year and Artist of the Year, and have been awarded Musikförläggarnas Prize for Breakthrough of the Year.
