On 31 July, one of Denmark’s most influential rock bands, D-A-D, will take to Stora Scenen at Liseberg. For over 40 years, they have helped shape the Nordic rock scene, and their concerts continue to attract a devoted audience around the world.

D-A-D

D-A-D were formed in Copenhagen in 1982, then under the name Disneyland After Dark. The band broke through on the international scene in 1989 with the album No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims, which included the iconic single Sleeping My Day Away — a track that brought the group global radio success and established them as a major name on the hard rock scene.

The band, which today consists of Jesper Binzer, Jacob Binzer, Stig Pedersen and Laust Sonne, continue to tour extensively with a live energy that few can match. On Spotify, D-A-D have over 367,000 monthly listeners, a clear sign of their continued relevance among both new and longtime fans.

In 2025, D-A-D released the live album Live From The Arena, recorded during the band’s spectacular 40th anniversary concert at the Royal Arena. The album captures the intensity and power of their stage presence – with 25 tracks spanning their entire career, it is nothing less than a grand tribute to their long and influential musical legacy.

D-A-D’s performance on 31 July is part of Liseberg’s broad concert programme on Stora Scenen – where Swedish and international artists meet the audience at the heart of the park.
